These tasks will support the International Space Station, Ground Systems Development and Operations, and the Space Launch System, Orion Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle, and Launch Services programs. Responsibilities As part of the team, you will: The Ground Systems Support (GSS) organization is seeking a skilled Technical Integrator for the Heavy Equipment, High Crew and Proof Load shop to support work activities across multiple programs located on Kennedy Space Center. This role is critical for ensuring the safe and efficient planning, coordination, and execution of complex technical operations involving large-scale heavy equipment operation and load testing.

Requirements

  • High School degree;10 years of experience is required.
  • Possesses moderate knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs, such as Outlook, Work, Excel, PowerPoint and TEAMS.
  • Technically and mechanically inclined with experience in heavy equipment operations and maintenance, move operations of large objects, lifting/rigging equipment and mobile and/or overhead cranes, forklifts, dollies, and slings.
  • Familiar with the concept of work control and the work order life cycle.
  • Familiar with the concept of preventive maintenance.
  • Exhibit concise communication skills daily, both orally and written and communicate early and often to eliminate issues.
  • Exhibit customer service skills daily, required for customer interaction to discuss requirements.
  • Ability to read engineering schematics, drawings, and engineering specifications is required.
  • Must follow strict work area rules and safety protocols.
  • Demonstrate ability to develop/follow work instructions to maximize the efficiency of crews.
  • Must be organized and detail oriented.
  • Must be a self-motivated team player comfortable working in a dynamic environment.
  • Skilled at recognizing planning/scheduling conflicts and possesses the ability to collaborate with technical shops to develop work-a-round solutions to minimize schedule impacts.
  • Must be able plan and coordinate work between multiple disciplines.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with represented (union) employees is desirable.
  • Experience in Maximo and other computerized maintenance management systems is highly desirable.
  • Experience in Industrial crane and/or lifting standards and material handling standards is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring the safe and efficient planning, coordination, and execution of complex technical operations involving large-scale heavy equipment operation and load testing.
  • Requires creating work orders in computerized maintenance management systems and reviewing work instructions for completeness.
  • Collaborate with engineering on work requirements.
  • Develop an understanding of work priorities and resolve technical planning issues.
  • Must comply with all "drug free workplace" requirements as mandated by directives issued by the appropriate federal contracting officer and the company, which requires random drug testing for use of illegal drugs by employees in sensitive positions.
  • Must maintain a positive work attitude by behaving and communicating in a manner that fosters good relationships with customers, clients, co-workers, employees and leadership.
