About The Position

Technica LLC seeks to recruit for the position of Ground Support Equipment Worker QC on a Government contract with a place of performance at Fort Bliss, TX. This position is full-time but temporary. Anticipated period of performance ending 3 October 2026. Position Summary: Conduct initial inspections on power generation systems, military vehicles, and civilian equipment to identify deficiencies, troubleshoot and determine required parts prior to issuing work packets to maintenance personnel. Conduct in-progress inspections during active maintenance or repair operations to identify deficiencies and determine if additional parts are required. Conduct final quality control inspections on completed work prior to submission to Government QA, ensuring all repairs are performed in accordance with applicable specifications. Quality control inspections are on a wide range of systems and equipment, including power generation units (2kW-840kW generators, AMMPS, TQGs, LAMPS, STEP), power distribution systems (PDISE, Management and Distribution Control Units), multi-temperature refrigerated container systems (MTRCS), various military vehicles (JLTVs, HMMWVs, LMTVs, MTVs, PLSs, HMEE-I, 120M Motor Graders, D7RII MCAs), AC Units, heaters and civilian material handling equipment (MHE). Calculate man-hours for maintenance tasks using the Maintenance Allocation Chart (MAC). Use diagnostic tools, hand tools, and computer systems to inspect and repair, complex wiring systems, Hydraulic, transmission systems, air and hydraulic brake systems and Internal combustion engines Complete and review applicable Department of the Army (DA) or Department of Defense (DoD) maintenance forms and work orders. Enter and maintain accurate records in automated maintenance management systems. Carry out additional tasks assigned by Supervisor or Lead, including operating MHE, performing scheduled maintenance, and executing unscheduled repairs when not engaged in inspection duties.

Requirements

  • GCSS-Army experience is required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Familiar with EMS, IADS, and AESIP.
  • Knowledge of MAC for assigning tasks in GCSS-Army.
  • Working knowledge of military maintenance documentation and forms (e.g., DA 2404, DA 5988E, DA 2407, DA 7723).
  • Ability to locate locally procured parts quickly and efficiently.
  • EPA 608 Certification (HVAC/Sealed System) is required.
  • EPA 609 Certification (MVAC) is required.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC) as a U.S. citizen or permanent resident with over three years of residency.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background checks.
  • Possess a valid U.S. driver's license.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be able to Lift up to 50 lbs. regularly.
  • Work in extreme weather conditions (heat, wind, sand, rain, sleet, snow).
  • Climb on and inspect equipment (up to 10 feet above ground).
  • Work extended hours as mission requires.
  • Communicate in basic written and spoken English.
  • Use and understand PPE.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior military experience in Military Occupational Skill (MOS) 91D.
  • Defense contracting experience inspecting and repairing for military generators.
