About The Position

This is the entry and first semi-technical working level for ground support equipment mechanics. Incumbents at this level work under the instruction of a Ground Support Equipment Technician II and the direction of a Lead Technician and repair and maintain aerospace ground support equipment, aircraft fuel tenders, generator sets, tow tractors, forklifts, and associated equipment.

Requirements

  • Possession of a valid Class-C Driver’s License.
  • One year of industry work experience in the repair and maintenance of light equipment, such as generators, power washers, battery-powered equipment, etc.
  • Knowledge of maintenance and repair methods, techniques, and practices.

Responsibilities

  • Repair and maintain aerospace ground support equipment including aircraft jacks, power units, hydraulic units, forklifts, tow tugs, generator sets, and aircraft fuel tenders.
  • Perform scheduled inspections and preventative maintenance on ground support equipment.
  • Inspect and assess maintenance problems on ground support equipment.
  • Work in a shop environment safely and effectively.
