Our world-class team includes experts in all aspects of spacecraft subsystems design, development, and test, on-orbit operations, and safety. We are seeking a Ground Stations Engineering Intern to join our technical team. This position will support ongoing operations, along with development and testing of a commercial Telemetry, Tracking and Control (TT&C) network of ground stations. Under the supervision of senior engineers the will work in a cross-functional team on the design, development, test, and operation of flight and ground support hardware, including associated software. This is a paid, full time internship in Houston Texas.

  • Assist in development and execution of test plans for ground station hardware
  • Assist in the development of real-time operations products, including procedures, asset schedules, troubleshooting documentation and Interface Control Documents (ICDs)
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to integrate ground software and network automation
  • Participate in Integration & Verification activities
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of ground stations, satellite communication, or networking protocols is a plus.
  • Analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong enthusiasm for space exploration and communication systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Program or coursework around ground stations in university or in another setting.
  • Programming skills or familiarity with some of the cross functional disciplines such as avionics, radio frequency, etc.
