On our team, you will work will Booz Allen colleagues, other support contractors, and U.S. Space Force personnel to develop and deploy the next generation of strategic military satellite communications capabilities. You will be an integral part of the engineering branch to assist the government with ensuring space, ground, and crypto segments are integrated successfully to meet user's needs. You will provide direct support to the chief engineer and manage the Booz Allen engineering team supporting the program office. Your expertise and innovative thinking will be critical to ensuring capabilities are delivered to meet the threat.

  • 7+ years of experience in systems engineering, implementing software to integrate multiple ground system components, including satellite command and control, data processing, communications, and mission planning systems
  • 7+ years of experience with assembly to understand critical software functionality of weapon systems, and software development using basic programming languages, technologies, tools, or web development stacks, including C++ or Python
  • 2+ years of experience with program reviews, including SRR, SDR and SFR, PDR, CDR, MRR, TRR, FCA, and PCA, and developing software design documentation, interface documentation, technical reports, and integration procedures for operational use and future development
  • Experience assessing, modifying, developing, writing, and implementing software programming applications
  • Experience with integration tests, system-level tests, troubleshooting, and debugging to verify software functionality and system interoperability
  • Knowledge of software development standards such as DO-178C
  • Ability to analyze software or firmware extracted from weapon systems for capability and performance characterization, as well as vulnerability assessments
  • Ability to work proactively with cross-functional teams, including systems engineering, cybersecurity, and operations, to gather requirements and ensure alignment with mission goals

  • Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) field
  • Experience with Java, Python, C#, C/C++, .NET, JavaScript, React, NodeJS, PHP, or Drupal
  • Experience transitioning systems from development to operations
  • Experience developing automation scripts and tools to streamline system integration, testing, and deployment processes
  • Ability to acquire client requirements and resolve workflow problems through automation optimization
  • Ability to work with automated testing tools to perform testing and maintenance
