SSI is seeking an Ground Software Integration & Test Engineer for a role in Chantilly, VA.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in STEM or relevant discipline.
  • Technical and analytic understanding of satellite and ground system interaction.
  • 5 years’ experience in systems engineering.
  • Experience in system test or planning and execution of other types of analytic activities.
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment with excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • TS/SCI clearance required.

Nice To Haves

  • 5 years’ experience in space or ground segment integration, test, and evaluation
  • Agile framework experience including use of Jira/Confluence
  • Experience with DoD and/or IC customers
  • Recent experience with space and/or ground systems

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain test and evaluation plans and associated planning documentation.
  • Support development and management of system verification plans and activities.
  • Support other systems engineering processes and documentation.
  • Coordinate with engineering subject matter experts to author test content and deliverables, which include test objectives, test measures, test procedures, and data analysis.
  • Perform day-of-test roles that include guiding test activities.
  • Ensure test integration and alignment with ground and space segment vendors and stakeholders.
  • May support Tranche-specific test campaigns within the PWSA Ground Program (PGP)
  • Work with development team engineers to support integration of both software and hardware-in-the-loop development, test, and operational environments.
  • Evaluate software performance and assess its compatibility with new missions and CONOPS.
  • Participate in anomaly resolution activities.
  • Engage in test-related activities as systems and needs evolve.
