About The Position

Astroscale U.S. Inc. is seeking a Ground Software Engineer to join the team in our Denver, Colorado office. As part of the Ground Software team you will be integral to developing the ground system software for commanding and controlling the on-orbit servicing solutions that will deliver our vision of a sustainable space environment.

Requirements

2+ years of professional experience writing Rust.
Professional experience with aerospace ground software systems.
Experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure).
Familiarity with Git, bash, Python, Docker and Linux.
Familiarity with front-end technologies and design patterns.
Passion for building next-generation space-sustainability technology.
Ability to understand new concepts quickly and apply them accurately.
Ability to organize work assignments to meet established timetables.
Collaborative communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility to thrive in a dynamic and agile environment.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

Contribute to and own elements of the design, implementation, deployment and maintenance of all ground system software for Astroscale U.S. programs.
Design and build software for deployment in cloud-hosted, on-prem and hybrid environments.
Rapidly prototype software and infrastructure to prove out design concepts.
Work in a full-stack capacity across back-end and front-end specialties.
Work iteratively with Flight Software, Software Test, Software Platform, Guidance Navigation & Control, and other internal teams to achieve program goals ahead of schedule.
