Ground Shipping Clerk
About The Position
A Plus Auto LLC is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Ground Shipping Clerk to join our Shipping Department. In this hands-on warehouse role, you’ll be responsible for picking, packing, and shipping automotive parts accurately and efficiently using our specialized software systems. This is a physically demanding position that requires handling bulky, heavy, and sometimes awkward parts throughout the day. You’ll be on your feet and actively moving in a warehouse setting — a great fit for someone who likes to stay active and work with their hands. You’ll help ensure that every order leaves our facility safely, on time, and in excellent condition—directly impacting customer satisfaction and company performance.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Willingness to obtain forklift certification if not already certified
- Basic understanding of packing principles and workplace safety
- Ability to follow written and video instructions
- Team-oriented attitude with a sense of responsibility
- Prior experience in shipping, warehouse, or packing roles preferred
- Basic computer skills and comfort using shipping software
- Strong attention to detail and organizational habits
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and follow process instructions
- Basic understanding of English is helpful, but not required
- Ability to lift and handle automotive parts up to 100 lbs
- Capable of standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the entire shift
- Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with moderate physical activity
- Able to operate a forklift or willing to learn
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in shipping, warehouse, or packing roles preferred
Responsibilities
- Pick parts using the designated system (photos, tag numbers, storage locations)
- Pack orders based on instructions and video guides, using proper materials for safety
- Ship packages, selecting carriers and printing accurate labels
- Submit daily task reports and productivity using our online reporting form
- Follow safety standards, maintain a clean workspace, and support team workflow
