Coulson Aviation USA is looking for physically fit, self-motivated Ground Fleet Support Personnel (Driver) to join our elite aerial firefighting team in Chino and/or Van Nuys, CA. This is a full-time, year-round opportunity to be part of a mission that saves lives and protects communities. As Ground Fleet Support, you’ll play a critical role in keeping our helicopter operations running smoothly—delivering fuel to the aircraft and maintaining ground fleet equipment. You’ll perform all duties with professionalism, following Coulson Aviation’s policies and procedures, while staying compliant with federal, state, and local regulations. Requirements

  • CDL with current medical card and industry acceptable driving record.
  • Certified in HAZMAT Transportation with a Tanker Endorsement.
  • 2+ years driving fuel trucks or equivalent formal training/experience.
  • Strong decision-making, time management, and communication skills.
  • A team-first attitude and the ability to adapt on the fly.
  • Physically fit and mechanically inclined.
  • Able to understand and follow complex directions and instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Operate fuel transport equipment to deliver Jet-A petroleum to rotary and fixed-wing aircraft—keeping our fleet fueled and fire-ready in the field.
  • Perform inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on ground service equipment and vehicles (fuel trucks, vans, passenger cars, trailers, etc) —ensuring everything stays clean, safe, and fully operational with accurate documentation.
  • Maintain accurate trip logs, driver records, and fuel delivery documentation. Ensure all reporting meets compliance standards—no corners cut.
  • Work closely with pilots, mechanics, and fleet managers to follow assigned fire routes, adapt to changes, and report delays—keeping operations seamless and responsive.
