Summary This is a promotional position that oversees the production machines of the Ground Chicken area, assisting in the department on the the daily operation and coordination of the the workforce,ensuring a safe and productive work environment. Requires working with raw poultry products. Usually works five to six days a week; hours and overtime vary due to production need, generally 6:30pm - 5:00pm.

Requirements

  • External: worked a minimum of 6 months of consecutive work history with one employer within the past 3 years in a comparable field
  • Internal: minimum of 6 months in current position, 2 occurrences or less, no active disciplinaries.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in poultry processing/manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Make sure to follow Perdue safety policies and procedures.
  • Must be able to work constantly for durations of 4 hours up to a normal work day of 8 to 14 hours.
  • Work in temperatures consistently between 40 and 50 degrees Fahrenheit with ambient humidity, noise levels between 71.4 and 93.9, DB and light intensity of 100 foot candles.
  • Be able to work with nominal exposure to the chemicals listed in the MSDS log.
  • Be able to lift weight ranging from 1 to 80 pounds using proper lifting procedures and carry that weight a distance of 50 feet.
  • Be able to work in various positions, angles and twisted degrees for short periods of time.
  • Be able to grasp and handle hand tools, equipment handles product trays / cases and parts.
