About The Position

The Ground Beef Production Supervisor is responsible for managing and supervising hourly employees in a food manufacturing environment. This role includes ensuring the motivation and safety of employees, preparing pre-operational paperwork, and ensuring that the area is properly staffed to meet operational needs. The supervisor will coach and develop employees to achieve results and is accountable for meeting volume goals, reducing claims, maximizing yields, reducing costs, and improving employee retention. Additionally, maintaining good working relationships with the Union, USDA, and Maintenance employees is essential.

Requirements

  • Two years supervisory experience preferred in a food manufacturing/meat processing setting
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday, including weekends when needed
  • Ability to work a second shift
  • Ability to work in a cold, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Computer skills
