About The Position
As a Grossing Technician at Sonic Anatomic Pathology, you will play a crucial role in the clinical laboratory environment, focusing on the technical aspects of grossing and dictating tissue specimens. This position requires you to work under the direct supervision of a Pathologist or Pathologist Assistant, ensuring that all procedures are performed accurately and efficiently. You will be responsible for dictating a gross description for each specimen, which includes details such as anatomical site, size, color, weight, dimensions, count, volume, cut techniques, and any abnormal findings. Additionally, you will dissect and prepare tissue for cassettes, analyze and review testing results, and report your findings in a timely manner. In this fast-paced laboratory setting, you will need to recognize when corrective action is necessary and implement effective solutions to maintain the quality and safety of laboratory operations. Your role will also involve championing safety, compliance, and quality control measures to ensure that all laboratory practices meet the highest standards. This position is full-time, with working hours from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, Monday through Friday, and offers competitive compensation along with a range of benefits that support your professional growth and work-life balance.
