Hiring for our seasonal positions occurs on a rolling basis. Applications will be accepted until December 15th or until the positions are filled (whichever is first). The Grooming Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all snowcat operations and snow surface maintenance throughout the winter season. This includes operational, labor, all safety best practices, compliance, all departmental team training, growth, and leadership.

Requirements

  • Highschool or Equivalent
  • 5 years of grooming and trail maintenance preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications
  • Communicate effectively in English
  • 2 years preferred supervisory experience
  • Equipment operation, grooming specialist, communication, listening

Responsibilities

  • Provide direction, leadership, and expertise to the grooming operation.
  • Train, and develop the team in coordination with Mountain Operations team.
  • Organize and delegate daily workload to the lead groomers to provide clear direction.
  • Communicate daily work updates to Grooming Manager and Senior Snow Surfaces Manager.
  • Oversee performance management and conduct evaluations of the grooming team.
  • Ensure compliance with all company and department policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
  • Occasionally operate heavy equipment as required, such as snow removal equipment, excavators, forklifts, and mowing equipment.
  • Oversee departmental budgets while tracking performance to expectations.
  • Lead staff meetings and promote effective communication within the grooming, fleet, dispatch, lift maintenance, lift ops, F&B, ski patrol, and terrain park teams.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Senior Snow Surfaces Manger, Director of Mountain Operations.
