What if your average groom took about an hour? At our salon, most grooms are completed in 60–90 minutes — not because we rush or cut corners, but because you work in a private suite, start to finish, without stacked dogs or shared services. Fewer obstacles. More control. So how does that translate into grooming pay at our salon? 1-25 lbs — approximately 1 hour — $42–$47 commission 26-40lbs — approximately 1 hour — $52–$60 commission 41–70 lbs — approximately 1.25 hours— $60–$72.50 commission 71–85 lbs — approximately 1.25 hours— $82.50 commission 86+ lbs — approximately 1.5 hours — $90 commission These timeframes reflect our typical production model. Commission is 50% per service, with doodles and specialty coats priced higher. When additional time is required due to coat condition or size, appropriate charges are applied — and your commission increases accordingly. Ownership & Authority You own the groom from start to finish. You assess coat condition at check-in. You determine if additional time or corrective work is required. You apply the appropriate charge. Commission is calculated on the final service price, including add-ons and time adjustments. Management supports and stands behind professional pricing decisions. This is a structured grooming environment designed for skilled groomers who value control, efficiency, and performance-based pay. If you prefer a 3-hour boutique styling model, this is not that environment. If you prefer structured workflow and performance-based pay, we’d love to talk.
