About The Position

As a team member at T&T Supermarket, you will play a crucial role in ensuring quality control during receiving, managing inventory and product quality of all products including grocery, cooler, and frozen goods. You will implement the FIFO (First In, First Out) concept and maintain full product displays. Your responsibilities will also include executing procedures for handling expired products and effectively managing shrinkage to minimize loss. Delivering exceptional customer service is key, as you will greet and assist customers enthusiastically, helping them with product selection and recommendations to enhance their shopping experience. Addressing customer complaints promptly and fostering positive relationships through attentive service is essential. Additionally, you will provide guidance and supervision to junior team members, offering feedback on their performance and assisting in their training and development. Leading by example, you will demonstrate proficiency in all assigned duties and maintain a clean and organized workplace. Familiarity with the location of various grocery items and departmental promotions will help you assist customers better. You will also fulfill any additional responsibilities assigned by superiors to contribute to the overall efficiency and success of the department.

Requirements

• Willing to work flexible shifts, including weekdays, weekends, evenings, and statutory holidays.
• Able to stand for extended periods and regularly move and lift items weighing up to 40 lbs.
• Able to work in low temperature environments (0-4 °C) and occasionally in freezing environments (-18 °C).
• Basic computer skills in MS.
• Familiar with relevant tools and equipment, able to interpret product information.
• Able to communicate in English; proficiency in Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin) is preferred.
• Knowledge of workplace health and safety.
• Minimum of 2 years of related experience.
• Demonstrated commitment, accountability, and reliability in previous roles.
• Good team player, capable of collaborating with and assisting colleagues.
• Good organization, problem-solving, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Positive, proactive, and self-motivated work ethic.
