Grocery Selector
About The Position
Operates a tugger to travel through the dry warehouse selecting full case grocery items. Hours: Sunday-Friday (w/ rotating day off each week) 12:30pm until finished Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Prior to signing out equipment performs operations and safety check. Signs out equipment by documenting the pre-operational checklist. Primarily selects and loads orders from pallet onto buggies, then transfers items to loading dock. Receives customer order from a designated area. Enters order task numbers in the computer system. Drives a tugger with three buggies throughout the warehouse. Reads the computer label to determine the product to be selected. As items are selected, they are labeled and placed on the buggy. This continues until the order is complete. Completed orders are delivered to the proper line and loading door. Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area. Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Language Skills: Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences. Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to can-y out simple one- or two-step instructions. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Must be trained and certified on each piece of equipment operated.
