Requirements

• Completed or working towards a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Keep the Grocery department well stocked, organized, and appealing to meet customer demands and maximize sales.
• Build displays to drive incremental sales.
• Stock and rotate merchandise to ensure freshness.
• Keep products within easy customer reach.
• Store excess merchandise according to backroom organization guidelines.
• Smile and greet customers, answer questions, and help resolve concerns promptly.
• Apply proper stocking techniques to ensure products are properly located on shelves and in saleable condition.
• Assist with receiving, unloading, checking-in, breaking-down, and storing deliveries if properly trained.
• Handle damaged or discontinued items according to company policy.
• Remove products that cannot be sold.
• Maintain general sanitation in the department and follow cleaning schedules.
• Comply with security regulations and policies.
• Put out stock at an acceptable rate as determined by company standards.
• Assist with baling cardboard or other related duties if properly trained.
• Cooperate with co-workers and supervisors to ensure smooth function of the department and store.
• Continuously improve job performance.
• Utilize all company-provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Assist in other departments as needed.
