About The Position

The position focuses on creating an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. The role involves establishing and maintaining a safe and clean environment that encourages customer return. The individual will be responsible for achieving sales and profit goals for the department while monitoring and controlling quality assurance standards. Additionally, the position includes directing and supervising all functions, duties, and activities for the department, supporting the day-to-day operations of the Grocery department, and demonstrating the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

Requirements

• Minimum effective communication skills.
• Knowledge of basic math: counting, addition, and subtraction.
• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• Must be able to meet the minimum physical demands of the position.
• Must be 18 or older.

Responsibilities

• Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service.

• Monitor and control quality assurance standards.
• Assist in directing and supervising all functions, duties, and activities for the department.
• Support the day-to-day functions of the Grocery operations.
• Demonstrate the company's core values.
• Answer customer questions regarding products sold within the department and throughout the store.
• Gain and maintain knowledge of products sold within the department.
• Inform customers of grocery specials.
• Understand the store's layout and locate products.
• Implement the period promotional plan for the department.
• Monitor and control expenses for the department.
• Maintain awareness of inventory/stocking conditions.
• Observe scheduled shift operating hours.
• Demonstrate creative merchandising.
• Condition all products in assigned sections according to company policy.
• Maintain workload to meet production deadlines.
• Integrate key retailing work processes into daily operations.
• Ensure compliance with merchandising, customer service, cash control, labor control, and safety rules.
• Reinforce safety programs and identify unsafe conditions.
• Practice preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Notify management of customer or employee accidents.
• Report all safety risks or illegal activities.
