Grocery Receiver Full-Time Bethlehem
About The Position
The Receiver is responsible for performing duties as directed by the Grocery Manager and/or Assistant Grocery Manager (3rd Man) for the successful operation of the Grocery Department. It is essential that as a Receiver, you will present yourself in a professional and courteous manner at all times while performing your defined responsibilities. You are responsible for always maintaining our high standards of Customer Service. Other duties may be assigned as required, depending upon the available time, business volume and other criteria as determined by your appropriate supervisors and/or Gerrity's Supermarkets. Full compliance with current and future policies will be required to ensure that your work contribution is in the best interest of Gerrity's Supermarkets.
Requirements
- Ability to hear, speak, and understand the spoken word
- Ability to read, write, analyze, interpret and understand the English language with sufficient proficiency in order to read and understand
- Employee is frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch and taste or smell
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant vision, and color vision with the ability to adjust focus
- No minimum educational requirement needed
- Must be able to calculate figures, amounts, discounts, and percentages
- Must be able to move and/or lift 75 pounds
- While performing the duties, the employee is regularly required to stoop, kneel, crouch, stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance and talk or hear
- Must be at least 18 years old
Responsibilities
- Responsible for checking in store products from all vendors
- Responsible to properly reconcile all necessary supporting paperwork
- Responsible for the completion and submission of invoice and door logs
- Maintain unloading area, and ensure it is kept sanitary and free from clutter both inside and outside areas
- Responsible for proper and preventative maintenance of all company equipment in their area
- Responsible for securing the dock area as required
