Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee daily operations of the Grocery Department, including Grocery, Frozen, Dairy, and Beer/Wine
  • Supervise, train, coach, and develop department associates to meet performance, service, and safety standards
  • Manage ordering, receiving, pricing, stocking, and merchandising to maintain proper inventory levels and presentation
  • Champion customer service initiatives and resolve customer concerns professionally and promptly
  • Control shrink, ensure product freshness, and prevent the sale of out‑of‑code or damaged items
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety, sanitation, security, and loss prevention standards
  • Prepare work plans and task assignments for day and night crews to support operational goals
  • Open and close the store and, when needed, oversee total store operations in the absence of store leadership
  • Maintain accurate sales, cash handling, and operational records
