As a Grocery Manager, you’ll have the opportunity to direct your department with plenty of flexibility in a non-corporate environment. At Jungle Jim’s, you’ll be working in one of the most dynamic grocery stores in the country and affect what happens in our store every day. Our Managers are given a lot of responsibilities, but they’re also given the ability to make decisions and try new things. There are always opportunities for advancement at Jungle Jim’s, and many of our Department Managers have moved up into key positions in the company. We want to see you grow and develop your career with us.

Requirements

  • Work environment includes continuous interaction with customers and co-workers in a fast-paced environment.
  • Typical elements of this job are physical in nature.
  • Engage in standing/walking 6-8 hours at a time.
  • Ability to maneuver weight up to 50 pounds.
  • Schedule may entail nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be 21 or older.

Nice To Haves

  • Retail experience preferred.
  • Basic computer, math, and data entry skills.
  • Basic filing and record-keeping skills.
  • Prior management experience.
  • Proficiency with Google Drive and Microsoft Office programs is a plus!
  • Two or three professional references are preferred.
  • Must pass a required criminal background check.
  • Ability to travel between both stores and shows.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee training of all employees in your department.
  • Identify coaching opportunities to help employees grow personally and professionally.
  • Arrange and oversee the buying, transportation, receiving, unloading, storage, and rotation of products.
  • Check products for quality and condition.
  • Meet with, and maintain relationships with, vendors and sales representatives.
  • Drive sales and profits through smart buying, merchandising, inventory management, customer service, and salesmanship.
  • Other duties as assigned.
