About The Position

Piggly Wiggly is seeking an experienced Grocery Manager to join our team! The ideal candidate will have experience in the grocery industry, a passion for customer service, and a strong ability to manage and motivate staff. We are a locally owned full-service grocery store. Responsibilities for all staff Employees must be courteous, attentive, and professional with customers, vendors and peers and represent the company in a manner that will not discredit or disparage while on the clock and when in uniform outside of work. Principle Responsibilities job specific: Arrives at the workstation on time, appropriately groomed, dressed, and ready to work; works all scheduled shifts and attends required training courses and meetings. We are looking for a responsible Front-End Manager to undertake a variety of managerial tasks in collaboration with or in the absence of a higher-level manager. You will assist upper management in incorporating strategy and ensuring the store meets its goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong business mindset and leadership capabilities. The goal is to secure the effective operation of our business and the satisfaction of our clients to achieve accelerating and sustainable growth.

Requirements

Ability to move or handle merchandise throughout the store generally weighing 0-50 pounds, occasionally up to 100 pounds. With or without a reasonable accommodation
Ability to stand and/or bend over a worktable for duration of shift. With or without a reasonable accommodation
Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work with ADA approved cleaning chemicals
Understanding of and compliance with company quality goals
Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates
Other related duties as may be needed in the department
Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred
Multilingual skills are a plus, particularly fluency in English
Strong to excellent communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team
Ability to deliver information in a clear and respectable manner to fellow Team Members, customers, and vendors
Ability to meet customer service expectations and standards in all interactions with customers, vendors, and Team Members
Ability to follow directions and procedures, effective time management and organization skills
Understanding of and compliance with company quality goals

Grocery store and/or retail experience to include at least 1 year in a leadership role
