About The Position

Bessemer, Alabama-based Piggly Wiggly Alabama Distributing Company distributes grocery products to Piggly-Wiggly and other branded supermarkets throughout the southeast. We’re seeking an experienced graphic designer to join our advertising team in a temporary, full-time role as a Layout Artist. In this position, reporting to the Advertising Manager, you’d be responsible for creating, editing, and preparing visual, high-converting grocery ads (Quark Express) for print and digital media, focusing on flyers, circulars, social media graphics, and in-store signage. You’ll ensure product imagery is enticing and that sales information is clear, accurate, and consistent with the brand's identity.
You’ll work with store owners and our Advertising Manager to design and produce grocery ad layouts for print and digital, including newspaper circulars, tabloids, in-store signage, and email campaigns.

Requirements

• Create, edit, and prepare visual, high-converting grocery ads for print and digital media, focusing on flyers, circulars, social media graphics, and in-store signage.
• Ensure product imagery is enticing and that sales information is clear, accurate, and consistent with the brand's identity.

Responsibilities

• Work with store owner and Advertising Manager to design and produce grocery ad layouts for print and digital, including newspaper circulars, tabloids, in-store signage, and email campaigns.
• Arrange products, text and images to create item sales.
• Manage multiple, fast-paced projects for deadlines.
• Prepare, format, and check final files for printing.
• For digital content create .pdf and .jpeg files for social media platforms.
