Grocery General Duty Clerk (Dairy)
About The Position
As a Dairy Department Clerk, you will be responsible for ensuring the dairy section is fresh, organized, and fully stocked for customers. This includes rotating and shelving products, monitoring freshness, maintaining clean and visually appealing displays, and providing friendly assistance to shoppers. You will also support inventory accuracy and assist with receiving and placing orders to keep the department running smoothly. This role is active and fast-paced, requiring comfort working in cooler environments and being on your feet throughout the day. The ideal candidate will bring positive energy, a steady approach, and a one-team spirit to deliver a consistently high-quality experience.
Requirements
- Familiarity of food safety and freshness protocols, with a focus on maintaining product quality
- Ability to manage inventory, rotate stock effectively, and ensure shelves are organized and full
- Friendly, helpful attitude with the ability to assist customers and communicate clearly
- Strong observational skills to monitor product dates, cleanliness, and display standards
- Comfortable working in refrigerated environments and staying active throughout the shift
- Willingness to partner with teammates and contribute to a positive store environment
- Familiarity with handheld inventory devices and basic computer systems for order tracking and receiving
