About The Position

GROCERY CLERK Main responsibilities: Maintain a friendly, customer-focused environment and provide fast, courteous service. Assist customers with product suggestions and inquiries. Build and maintain grocery displays; rotate and remove outdated products. Ensure shelves are clean, stocked, and properly priced. Follow company standards for merchandising and promotional displays. Perform receiving duties: break down loads, verify invoices, inspect quality, and stock products. Maintain accurate records and complete required paperwork. Ensure compliance with temperature, labeling, and safety regulations. Keep work areas clean and organized; adhere to sanitation standards. We are looking for candidates who possess the following: Soft skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Customer service orientation with a friendly and professional demeanor. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Competencies: Attention to detail and accuracy in handling products and paperwork. Time management and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Problem-solving skills for inventory and customer issues. Knowledge: Basic math skills and understanding of weights and measures. Knowledge of product variety, perishability, and handling standards. Familiarity with company policies and safety procedures. Abilities: Ability to lift and maneuver items up to 50 lbs. Stand for long periods; bend, stoop, and reach frequently. Operate equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, and electronic ordering devices. Educational requirements: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Travel requirements: Occasional travel may be required. Other requirements: Good attendance and flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Compliance with grooming and dress code standards.
