About The Position

This position assists the Department Manager in planning, organizing, staffing, training, and directing Grocery Department associates. Key functions include performing production and customer service duties, and maximizing store sales and profits safely and ethically, all in accordance with company policies and procedures. The role also requires demonstrating the company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety. Fred Meyer, based in Portland, Oregon, merged with The Kroger Company in 1998 and now serves customers in over 120 stores across Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and Alaska.
