We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and motivated Grinding Machinist IV (Abrasive Machinist) on 2nd shift to join our Kamatics team in Bloomfield, CT. Reporting to the Sr. Team Leader, this position performs all machining operations as part of the production process in an assigned cell. Second shift hours are 3:15 PM - 12:45 AM, which includes one hour of mandatory overtime as business need currently dictates. Requirements

• High school diploma/GED.
• Minimum of 4 years of manufacturing experience as a grinding operator or 1 year of CNC machining experience.

Responsibilities

• Independently sets up, adjusts, troubleshoots and operates centerless or center grinding machines or honing machines on a diversified line of work to close and exacting tolerances and finish specifications requiring an intermediate level of skill.
• Setups involve familiarity with and understanding of manufacturing order of operations involving combinations of operations.
• Works from operation sheets, and machine setup instructions.
• Self-sufficient with work-holding and work support methods, stone selection, wheel speed, wheel dressing and machine adjustments.
