Our Grinders ensure that our parts meet client standards for the rough and finishing process. They polish, buff and sandblast working with steel and stainless steel materials, such as fabricated sheet metal, machined and welded items. Pay: $31.87/hour. Position is 1st shift and follows a 4/10 schedule: Monday - Thursday, 5 am to 3 pm.
Requirements
- Ability to operate large angle grinders, small angle grinders, belt sanders, die grinders, orbital sanders, drum sanders, hand files and other tools.
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Ability to maintain tolerance and finishes to specifications.
Responsibilities
- Operate assorted polishing tools and abrasives on surface of work piece to remove scratches, tool marks, excess weld material, sharp edges and burrs.
- Polish heat treated parts to product smooth, consistent, unmarred surface and achieve specified finish.
- Read blueprints for product specifications, such as dimensions, material type, material sizes, finish callout and material hardness, etc.
- Operate sand blaster to prepare part for final polish and finish sand blast parts to achieve specified finish.
