About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Grinder to join our team in a climate-controlled manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for precision surface grinding of metal plates and blocks while maintaining tight tolerances, flatness, and squareness. The ideal candidate will have experience working with various hardened materials and be comfortable reading blueprints and using grinding equipment.
Pay Rate: $20.00+ per hour (Based on Experience)
Shift: Monday–Friday | 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Requirements

• Experience with precision surface grinding required
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and measurements
• Familiarity working with tool steels and hardened materials
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain tight tolerances

Nice To Haves

• Experience operating a Chevalier Wet Grinder is a plus

Responsibilities

• Perform surface grinding on soft and hardened plates and blocks to .001 tolerances while maintaining squareness and flatness
• Operate grinding equipment safely and efficiently to meet production and quality standards
• Read and interpret blueprints and work orders to ensure accurate machining
• Work with various materials including A-2, D-2, 4142, Vanadis, and CPM steels
• Conduct quality checks to ensure finished parts meet specifications
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines
