About The Position

The position involves grinding PVC lineals that do not meet VEKA's specifications. The role requires the operator to ensure that all ground lineals are clean and free from any contamination, such as weather stripping. The operator must also maintain excellent housekeeping in the grinding area and operate a forklift to manage the movement of racks in and out of the grinding room. Safety is a priority, and the operator is required to wear all necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) while operating the grinder. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Certified Forklift Operator license required
• Mechanical aptitude
• Dependable and punctual
• Ability to work independently and with accuracy
• Drive to take initiative
• Good oral communication skills
• Good collaboration skills in a tactful and diplomatic manner

Responsibilities

• Responsible for grinding off standard PVC lineals
• Ensures all grinded lineals are clean and free of weather strip or other contamination
• Properly operates grinder within operating parameters and safety requirements
• Maintains excellent housekeeping in grinding area
• Operates forklift to move full and empty racks in and out of grinding room
• Wears all required PPE for grinder operation
• All other duties as assigned
