About The Position

Operate heavy equipment such as "Wirtgen" Asphalt Cold Milling Machines (Grinders). Complete and document daily pre and post trip equipment inspections. Complete daily machine lubrication, teeth replacement, cleaning and fueling to achieve 100% uptime. Provide excellent customer service and communicate with Dispatcher daily. Work safely and efficiently at all times. Work in alignment with Graniterock Safe Work Practices, core Purpose, Values, and Objectives, and support "One Company" principles.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must be self-motivated, have excellent customer service skills and work effectively with co-workers and supervisors.
• Must have the ability to climb, bend, stoop and lift up to 50 lbs. to inspect and maintain equipment uptime.
• Able to work in a field environment with exposure to rain, dust, mud, heat, sun, cold, noise, and other conditions common to a construction site.
• Grinder Operator experience on Wirtgen or other similar makes and models.
• All applicants must have a valid CA driver's license (or ability to obtain one prior to employment) and a clean driving record.
• Ability to work at job sites located at various geographic locations.
• This position is covered under the Construction Master Agreement with the Operating Engineers Local 3 and is subject to Job Placement Regulations.

Nice To Haves

• Excellent mechanical and welding skills.
• Ability to work at job sites located at various geographic locations.
• Paving background a plus.
• Class A driver's license highly preferred.
• 2+ years Grinder Operator experience.
