About The Position

The Grind/Blend Operator position involves general plant labor, which includes operating various machinery, forklift operation, lab sampling, and handling of meat products. The role requires performing tasks such as grinding, blending, and maintaining cleanliness in all areas of the plant. The operator will work primarily on the 3rd shift and will be responsible for a variety of essential functions to ensure smooth operations within the facility.

• Ability to stand for entire shift

Responsibilities

• General plant labor
• Utilize and operate a forklift
• Utilize lab equipment to take samples and perform tests on products
• Temperature monitoring of product and votator operation
• Fresh meat sampling/Frozen meat sampling
• Raw product unloading
• Finished product loading
• Plate Freezer Operation
• Inventory counts
• Stretch Wrapper Operation
• Pressure Washer Operation
• Housekeeping, hosing down floors, mopping, sweeping, emptying trash, picking up trash, etc.
• Shovel and clean up spills in the plant
• Keep barrels emptied of trash and product
• Clean equipment from top to bottom
• Help unstop screw conveyors
• Cut plastic and product off of screw
• Keep floor drains cleaned out and covers on drains
• Paint as directed
• Perform other duties as assigned
