About The Position

Are you passionate about cooking? Would you like to work with a IKA culinary Olympic winner? Our executive chef is in search of new cooks to join his team. We are looking for an experienced line cook and you will have a chance to advance in your culinary career.

Requirements

  • Excellent culinary skills to include different cooking technics, food preparation, meat and seafood fabrication, ala minute cooking, cleaning and sanitation
  • A minimum of 3 years of similar experience in a professional kitchen or a college degree in Culinary Arts
  • Drug Free Workplace

Responsibilities

  • Cooks are responsible for the daily production of food to include preparation, cooking, and presentation of food.
  • Cooks are responsible for the organization, cleaning, and sanitation of working stations.
  • Must have the ability to work at any station for all daily meal periods
  • Ability to bake cakes and bread
  • Have a good knowledge of continental cuisine
  • Understand how to portion fish, poultry and seafood
  • Know how to prepare sauces and salad dressings
  • Be able to re-stock the station for the next day
  • Know how to requisition food for any type of stations
  • Breakdown and clean station
  • Clean and sanitize working area
  • Know how create a preparation list for the different stations to include part levels
  • Check with the Sous Chef before clocking out
