About The Position

Southern Foodservice Management, a national contract food service company, is looking to hire a Grill Cook for our Voya location in Atlanta, GA. The schedule is Monday – Thursday. Some Fridays and evenings will be required on occasion. The shift schedule is 5:30 AM – 2:30 PM. There is no bus line; transportation is required. The pay range is $22.00-$23.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

  • Operate the Grill Station during meal periods, preparing and serving grill menu items.
  • Assist with food preparation, cooking sides, and other items as assigned.
  • Set up and stock the Grill Station, Deli Station, and Salad Bar for service by the prescribed timeline.
  • Cook required meal items according to the daily menu, ensuring correct internal temperatures and safe holding temperatures.
  • Maintain accurate food temperature logs for all prepared items.
  • Refill food items during service and ensure stations are maintained throughout the meal period.
  • Provide friendly, attentive service while working on the serving lines.
  • Break down and clean service areas after each meal period.
  • Follow all food safety and handling guidelines, including TB MED and HACCP standards.
  • Adhere to proper safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Conduct duties in a professional manner and uphold Southern Foodservice’s code of conduct.
  • Follow direction from management.
  • Clean the Grill Station and equipment after each meal period.
  • Assist with daily kitchen and serving area cleaning as directed.
  • Wash dishes, wash floors, and collect and dispose of garbage as needed.
  • Assist with catering events, including some evening shifts.
  • Help with new menu ideas when requested.
  • Support meal production, service, and dining facility cleaning tasks assigned by Supervisors.
  • All staff members are also responsible for other duties or tasks that are assigned by the Assistant Managers or Supervisors, as a part of any “Job” or “Position” assigned during a normal work schedule.
  • Team members may be assigned to support the meal production, service and cleaning after the meal or the dining facility.
