About The Position

The Grill Cook prepares all food for patients, visitors and hospital staff.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 1-3 years experience
• Minimum Age: 18
• Prior experience working in a hospital, commercial restaurant, or other food service operation preferred
• Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, grill and present a variety of hot and or cold food items
• Ability to accurately follow oral and written instructions in English
• Ability to accurately follow instructions when using, disposing, and mixing chemicals
• Presents self in a highly professional manner to others and understands that honesty and ethics are essential
• Ability to maintain a positive attitude
• Ability to communicate with co-workers and other departments with professionalism and respect
• Maintains a professional relationship with all coworkers, supervisors, managers, and all customers
• Must comply with dress code requirements
• Attends work and shows up for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
• Ability to lift 25 pounds, Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus, with or without corrective lenses
• Ability to work in a standing position for long periods (up to 8 hours)

Nice To Haves

• prefer candidate has either food handler or ServSafe Certification
• Prior experience working in a hospital, commercial restaurant, or other food service operation preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food items for patients, cafeteria, and catering with quality
• Follows strict sanitation guidelines set up by the State of Florida Health Department
• Follow HAACP guidelines
