They should have strong knowledge of steak temperatures, grilling techniques, and proper food‑safety practices. This person thrives in a fast‑paced, upscale kitchen environment, maintains excellent attention to detail, and consistently delivers high‑quality, perfectly cooked dishes. A positive attitude, strong teamwork, and professional communication are essential to contributing to the elevated dining experience at Spencer’s Steak and Chops. What will I be doing? As a Grill Cook, you would be responsible for preparing, maintaining and monitoring quality control for hot food items in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

Requirements

  • 2 years of previous grill or broiler experience in a high volume restaurant environment
  • Strong knowledge of steak temperatures, grilling techniques, and proper food‑safety practices
  • Thrives in a fast‑paced, upscale kitchen environment
  • Maintains excellent attention to detail
  • Consistently delivers high‑quality, perfectly cooked dishes
  • A positive attitude, strong teamwork, and professional communication

Responsibilities

  • Effectively work grill line, ensuring foods are cooked and temped as requested
  • Prepare food items according to designated recipes and quality standards
  • Break down steaks, portion cuts, and prepare meats according to restaurant standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation standards at all times
  • Manage guest orders in a friendly, timely and efficient manner
  • Ensure knowledge of menu and all food products
  • Stock and maintain designated food station(s)
  • Visually inspect all food sent from the kitchen
  • Practice correct food handling and food storage procedures according to federal, state, local and company regulations
  • Prepare requisitions for supplies and food items, as needed
