About The Position

In this job, you'll be responsible for assisting with the management of agreements to interconnect generation resources to SCE's electrical system. This position plays a key role in contract management and compliance and is responsible for managing interconnection contracts in accordance with CPUC and FERC jurisdictional tariffs. Requirements

  • Five or more years of experience in contract administration.
  • Experience in contract management and interpretation of contract terms/conditions.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with interconnection agreements/contracts related to FERC and/or CPUC tariffs.
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Electric Utility Industry experience.
  • Experience handling email communications from both internal and external customers.
  • Experience with data management including electronic filing.
  • Experience with project management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Review medium complexity contracts to identify potential risks, liabilities, and ambiguities.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory and governance requirements throughout the life of the contract.
  • Lead conversations with stakeholders to ensure implementation and management of contract from inception to termination.
  • Manage contract performance, evaluate and lead contract disputes, and make strategic recommendations to improve contract performance.
  • Evaluate and monitor contract performance to determine the necessity for amendments or extensions of contracts.
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders on contractual matters and mobilize internal teams to respond to customer needs.
  • Lead/support contract terms and conditions negotiations with customers and stakeholders.
  • Lead and manage FERC Formula reporting, budget/forecasting, variance explanations, data requests, and monthly quarterly and year-end accruals.
  • Review cost proposals and actual cost reports from projects to establish standard summary data cost reports and variance analyses.
  • Identify and escalate issues to management for immediate resolution.
  • Perform various financial and journal entries to aid in the reconciliation of projects.
  • Drive continuous improvement, including assisting with identifying and implementing processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure the protection of all physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and manage private customer data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
