About The Position

Position Summary The Greeter / Front Desk Specialist serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors in a busy orthopedic clinic. This role is responsible for creating a welcoming, professional environment while ensuring efficient patient check-in, accurate data collection, and excellent customer service.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in a medical office, front desk, or customer service role preferred
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
Basic computer proficiency and experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems preferred

Nice To Haves

Experience in an orthopedic or specialty medical practice
Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance verification
Bilingual skills a plus

Responsibilities

Greet patients and visitors warmly upon arrival and direct them appropriately
Check patients in and out for appointments in a timely and accurate manner
Verify patient demographics, insurance information, and photo identification
Collect copayments, balances, and obtain required signatures
Answer incoming phone calls and route calls or messages appropriately
Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments as needed
Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow
Monitor waiting area to ensure cleanliness and patient comfort
Assist with administrative tasks such as scanning documents, filing, and data entry
