We do the right thing—today and for generations to come.Job Purpose and ImpactWe are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Grower to join our Plant Management Team at a research focused facility with greenhouse and growth chamber environments.  The Greenhouse Senior Technician position will support plant production, care, and scheduling to ensure successful execution of research projects.  Key Accountabilities

Requirements

  • High school diploma, secondary education level or equivalent
  • Minimum of four years of related work experience
  • Able to lift up to 30 lbs and work in warm conditions with or without accommodation
  • Basic understanding of plant care and horticultural practices.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and established protocols.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Plant Science, Horticulture, Agronomy, Biology, or a related discipline).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Prior experience in plant care, greenhouse operations, or related work.
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with various levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily plant care, including watering, fertilizing, pruning, monitoring growth, and scouting for pests or disease.
  • Follow established protocols and standard operating procedures for plant handling, environmental control, tissue collections, harvesting and processing.
  • Understand and comply with safety regulations and other procedural compliance regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of plant status, growth conditions, and activities.
  • Interpret and document results of all tests and internally communicates results verbally or in writing as required.
  • Collaborate closely with other members of the Plant Management Team to support operational needs.
  • Handle complex clerical, administrative, technical or customer support issues under minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Other duties as assigned
