About The Position

The Greenhouse Team Member I position at Pure Green Farms involves operating automated machinery for the seeding and growth cycle of leafy greens. The role requires a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment while supporting the horticultural processes necessary for producing fresh produce. This full-time position operates on a 10-hour shift schedule, with weekend availability as needed.

Requirements

• Must have manual dexterity and ability to operate process machinery.
• Production line manufacturing experience preferred.
• Self-motivated, reliable, punctual, and positive attitude required.
• Ability to perform and complete 10-hour work shifts.
• Occasional forklift operation may be required.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
• Ability to learn and follow food safety and quality policies and procedures.
• Ability to make critical decisions quickly and repeatedly.
• Ability to adapt to changing order demands.
• Former experience in garden, greenhouse, or agricultural settings is a plus.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in manufacturing or agricultural equipment operation is preferred.
• Forklift, machine station, tractor, or farm equipment operator experience/training is highly desired.
• Education/experience in biology, horticulture, or farming operations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate, control, and monitor settings of automated process machinery and associated computer software programs for the sow/seeding growth cycle.
• Collect yield, germination, and other relevant data for plant science.
• Ensure correct planting locations for different seed/crop varieties.
• Assist in first-line troubleshooting of seeding and greenhouse machinery.
• Engage in general data collection, food safety, and other growth cycle tasks.
• Clean machinery and maintain cleanliness in the work area, applying sanitizers as recommended.
• Implement safe biological pest control practices.
• Maintain appropriate moisture levels of growing crops.
• Ensure all growing spaces are kept clean for food safety inspections.
• Conduct basic preventative maintenance of equipment.
