The GreenHouse Program Manager position is an integral member of the leadership team that directs the GreenHouse Learning Community jointly administered through University Housing and the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences at UW-Madison. This position leads the day-to-day implementation of the residential learning community focused on assisting students in their college transition with an emphasis on connecting with academic and co-curricular resources for sustainability. The Program Manager, in close collaboration with the Faculty Director, manages all aspects of the annual lifecycle of the program, including prospective student recruitment, student staff hiring and training, program implementation, strategic planning and assessment. GreenHouse Learning Community is an undergraduate residential community for students interested in all facets of sustainable living and local service opportunities that reflect sustainability. GreenHouse students have access to a dedicated greenhouse on the roof of their residence hall and participate in growing some of their own food in a community garden.
