About The Position

The Non-Emergency Medical Driver position at Abby Vans involves transporting clients safely to and from medical appointments. The role requires a commitment to providing excellent customer service while ensuring the safety and comfort of passengers. Drivers will operate company vehicles from their home and are compensated for the time spent driving to and from client locations.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED or a combination of education and experience.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Minimum of 4 years driving experience.
• Valid Wisconsin Driver's License.
• Good driving record.
• Pass FTA/DOT pre-employment drug screen and company policy enrollment.
• 10-year background check certification.
• CPR/First Aid Certification (training provided).
• Passenger Sensitivity Training (training provided).
• Defensive Driving Training (training provided).

Nice To Haves

• Experience in non-emergency medical transportation.
• Knowledge of local routes and areas.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a motor vehicle in all weather conditions.
• Assist clients in entering and exiting the vehicle.
• Load and unload clients using proper body mechanics.
• Secure vehicle passenger and wheelchair restraints.
• Operate wheelchair lift and/or ramp on accessible vehicles.
• Maintain cleanliness of the vehicle's interior and exterior.
• Communicate effectively with the office and clients.
• Demonstrate friendliness, courtesy, and patience in interactions with clients.
