About The Position

The position involves setting up and operating a Gravure printing press to produce quality process printing of shrink sleeve labels on flexible plastic film and other types of stock as per job jacket instructions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work collaboratively with co-workers.

• Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions.
• Ability to address issues involving concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and management.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical operations.
• Ability to read a standard ruler to 1/32" and a metric ruler to 1mm.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and operates Gravure printing press.
• Produces basic to multiple color quality process printing of shrink sleeve labels.
• Maintains clean work area.
• Complies with all departmental SOP's and company GMP's.
• Works normal shift hours and overtime as required.
• Coordinates efforts as part of the team to maximize production efficiencies.
• Trains co-workers and new hires.
• Receives and reviews job jackets and specifications.
• Retrieves and sets up dies, inks, materials, and plates.
• Monitors and adjusts press for consistent product quality.
• Cuts samples of printed material and inspects for imperfections.
• Prepares production records, reports, and timesheets.
• Operates hand truck and hand tools.
• Maintains all equipment by performing routine maintenance and cleaning.
