We have an excellent opportunity for Gravel Truck Drivers in our Central Idaho Division located in the Lewiston Clarkston Valley!

Requirements

  • One or more years' experience operating commercial vehicles
  • Knowledge of the aspects of construction operations
  • A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred
  • Valid driver's license and CDL required
  • Must be able to work day shifts and night shifts
  • Must be able to work in all weather conditions
  • Must be willing to travel if job requires
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate the ability to safely and productively perform driving operations using a variety of equipment
  • Communicate as well as listen effectively
  • Establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships with all personnel
  • Perform all duties safely and productively to ensure quality work
  • Conduct daily equipment inspections to identify any safety and maintenance issues
  • Perform daily equipment, walk around and site inspections to identify and correct any unsafe conditions and keep equipment properly maintained
  • Accurately complete daily vehicle inspection forms
  • Perform daily housekeeping on truck
  • Safely operate and maintain truck
  • Properly load, secure & unload material
  • Accurately complete load tickets where applicable
  • Communicate effectively (verbal, listening, written) and work with difficult people under high stress situations
  • Troubleshoot and problem solve situations/problems (material quality, equipment operation/repair, etc.)
  • Monitor and discuss production problems with co-workers and managers/supervisors
  • Ensure OSHA, EPA, DNR, safety and environmental regulation compliance
  • Perform other duties as assigned
