About The Position

The Claw Truck Driver is responsible for operating a claw truck to service commercial customers by emptying large refuse containers. This role involves ensuring the vehicle is maintained, performing safety inspections, and providing excellent customer service while adhering to safety and operational guidelines.

Requirements

• Must have a Class A or B CDL valid for the state of employment.
• Requires a clean driving record.
• At least 1 year of previous experience operating a vehicle requiring a CDL within the past 7 years.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Understand refuse collection policies and Department of Transportation requirements.
• Ability to hear and see in normal ranges with or without correction.
• Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Operate compaction and lift equipment on the vehicle.
• Perform daily pre and post-trip inspections as per Waste Pro procedures and D.O.T. guidelines.
• Maintain a clean truck and wash the exterior weekly.
• Provide courteous and efficient customer service in refuse operations.
• Answer customer inquiries and direct them to appropriate contacts for further assistance.
• Attend and participate in corporation-sponsored training courses as assigned.
• Stay updated on current technology relevant to the job.
