Role description
Under general supervision, the Graphics Supervisor plans, organizes, coordinates and leads the SFO's graphic design team. Oversees project execution, quality control, client communication and is responsible for maintaining the SFO brand standards, meeting deadlines, staying within budget while assisting in hiring, training and the annual performance evaluation of staff. Performs complex illustrator and graphics design work. And supervises a staff that may include illustrators, graphic designers, web designers and graphic aides.

Requirements

• Six (6) years of professional experience in illustration and graphic art design, including web design.
• Possession of a valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

• One (1) or more years of leading or supervising a team.
• Possession of a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university.
• Experience utilizing Adobe Creative Suite tools (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) to design, edit, and prepare visual materials for print and digital.
• Experience implementing design principles, including typography, color theory, and layout best practices.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and project management skills

Responsibilities

• Communicate and collaborate with clients to develop creative concepts, coordinate efforts, review progress, schedule timelines, and assign design projects.
• Supervise and train the design team, provide creative direction, and conduct annual performance evaluations.
• Create graphic designs and illustrations while ensuring consistency with the SFO brand across web pages, presentations, signage, publications, internal communications, newsletters, brochures, reports, and marketing campaigns.
• Communicate and present design and brand reviews with the design team, brand manager and relevant departments, organizations, and clients for final approval.
• Proof and resolve any issues related to final print quality or digital content.
• Prepare and package design files for printing or web use.
• Perform other functions as outlined in the 5330 Graphics Supervisor job classification.
