About The Position

We are seeking a talented GRAPHICS MANAGER to join our rock star graphics production team. You will manage our Graphics department to create booths and exhibits for trade shows.

Requirements

  • 5 or more years of experience with production/fabrication management in large format printing.
  • Experience with UV inkjet and dye sublimation textile printing.
  • Experience with large format graphic finishing, sewing, dimensional signage, and backlit and halo lit sign fabrication.
  • College diploma in Graphic Arts with a minimum of 5 - 10 years Design experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years Management experience.
  • Good basic clerical and administrative skills with emphasis on verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work accurately and quickly under company deadlines.
  • Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely, in writing and verbally.
  • Cooperative, courteous, flexible, and good-natured.
  • Conscientious, persistent, resourceful, productive, and active.
  • Ability to exercise considerable judgment and discretion in establishing and maintaining good working relationships.
  • Exhibit/Trade Show industry experience.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to prioritize and balance multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Graphics department to create booths and exhibits for trade shows.
  • Work with other departments and supervisors to lead the team with a positive approach.
  • Provide guidance and sound decision making.
  • Implement appropriate safety training and procedures.
  • Schedule staff and equipment.
  • Identify and implement new production methods to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Train staff on necessary processes and methods.
  • Troubleshoot any issues facing the team.
  • Evaluate parameters and act on situations quickly.
  • Address conflicts utilizing logic and appropriate methods.
  • Responsible for training, cross-training, coaching, development, goal setting, and performance evaluations of the production team.
  • Maintain an acceptable level of performance and positive attitude of the team.
  • Make recommendations for salary increases, promotions, coaching, and corrective action or termination of employment if necessary.
  • Capacity planning and assisting in the implementation of a new scheduling method for production.
  • Improve process procedures.
  • Write or assist with writing of SOP documentation.
  • Meet with staff daily to outline work plans and assign duties.
  • Implement and modify workflows for best practices, efficiency, and quality.
  • Update and maintain standards for graphic and sign production methods.
  • Schedule and post Graphic production orders and work orders.
  • Work with Project Managers to interpret client needs and develop production methods.
  • Keep current on new techniques, procedures, and materials in the graphic production field.
  • Identify problems and opportunities for improvement/cost savings.
  • Facilitate open, proactive communication with other departments.
  • Communicate job requirements and expected results to staff.
  • Ensure staff adhere to Health and Safety and Corporate policies.
  • Provide staff with technical assistance and training.
