About The Position

The Graphics Intern will have the opportunity to enhance several skills in supporting the Label Department including design collaboration, accurate data entry, enhanced proofreading skills, and basic knowledge of food labeling. This position will support the Graphic Designers in tasks related to design, typesetting, photography and digital media. This position will also support other label department team members with printing, data entry, sample development and warehouse stocking.

Requirements

• Computer skills on both a MAC and a PC
• Program knowledge desired: Microsoft Office Programs, Abobe PhotoShop, Illustrator, InDesign and Acrobat
• Proficient understanding of grammar – proofreading skills
• Self-motivated and works well with others in a fast paced environment
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to apply food safety and employee safety guidelines in all tasks
• Effective problem-solving and analytical skills
• Proficient communication skills
• Strong time management abilities
• Collaborative approach to working on projects with team members
• Currently enrolled in 2nd year or greater Graphics, Marketing or similar Associate or Bachelor degree program

Responsibilities

• Major duties will include daily paperwork and computer work assisting within several positions in the label department
• File and organize documents electronically and physically
• Proofreading packaging electronically and physically
• Data entry and typesetting in Adobe programs and Microsoft programs
• Photography, photo editing and maintaining a photo database
• Website and Social Media assistance
