About The Position

The Part Time Graphic Designer produces creative deliverable across a wide range of marketing channels, including web and print. This position will work directly with the Marketing Manager to develop marketing strategies that move ST Genetics forward. This position requires the ability to successfully multi-task several projects at once and to be able to work collaboratively or independently as required. Additionally, this position requires a Designer who can maintain a collegial attitude, exhibit strong communication skills and work efficiently. The Designer should maintain a sharp focus on details and be a problem solver while setting a vision and driving creative concepts during the entire design and production process. STgenetics® is the worldwide leader in Sexed Semen and Embryo production. ST is well known around the globe as one of the top sources for assistance in locating and exporting quality semen, embryos, and livestock from the United States. ST through the experience of its staff specializes in helping find quality livestock, semen, and embryos for placement domestically and internationally.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design/Graphic Arts or related field or any equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Knowledge of current design trends in both web and print
  • Ability to translate marketing needs into executable design
  • Ability to develop and maintain brand standards
  • Good organization skills. Able to multi-task and work on several projects running simultaneously and in multiple channels
  • Ability to meet deadlines and edit collateral quickly and accurately
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proven design experience as shown by portfolio samples
  • Creative and self-motivate
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Be a team player with a positive attitude, be a self-starter and be able to work independently when necessary
  • Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

  • Create digital-centric marketing elements, including digital and print advertising and social media campaigns.
  • Prepare print collateral accurately for pre-press production, meeting the constraints of cost, time, and existing branding.
  • Design digital ads for a variety of media outlets.
  • Develop original designs for events, company and category programs.
  • Think creatively, contributing uses to enhance marketing campaigns and associated design work.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends in design, branding, and software
  • Edit, color correct, and optimize images for print and web.
  • Ability to produce a wide range of print deliverables including print ads, brochures, catalogues, logos, trade show materials and other graphics as needed
  • Ability to design, implement and/or update a website
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
