The Leidos Behavioral Health and Readiness Division brings together programs that advance operational readiness, performance optimization, and behavioral health across military and veteran populations. The Behaviors Health and Readiness Division seeks a highly qualified and trained Graphics Designer to support the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs (CDMRP) operations through the creation of concepts and assets that represent and communicate the organization’s values and messaging. The Graphics Designer will produce high-quality and high-visibility graphics underpinning critical visual communications to include briefings, documents, infographics, and web materials. As part of a collaborative team, candidates will conceptualize, design, and deliver visually compelling products that effectively communicate complex information in a professional, clear, and aesthetically pleasing manner. This position is eligible for partial remote work and a flexible work schedule. The CDMRP is a leading funder of research projects across a broad range of medical fields and military health. The Leidos Graphics Designer will work across a diverse variety of research programs in support of the CDMRP’s goal to transform health care through innovative and impactful research. Why Leidos? Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Multimedia Arts, or related field. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Two plus years’ experience in graphic design within a professional environment, with preference for previous experience supporting Department of War organizations.
  • Ability to provide timely, accurate, and relevant graphic designs support to include documents, summaries, issue papers, talking points, and briefings.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Knowledge of federal compliance requirements for digital accessibility.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating a range of graphic design skills, especially in presentation graphics and executive-level content.
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to follow branding guidelines, and commitment to high visual standards.
  • Display excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to receive and apply feedback effectively.
  • Demonstrated proficiency working in a fast-paced collaborative environment, ability to proactively multi-task and meet short deadlines.
  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, or a related discipline. Master’s degree is preferred.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • U.S. citizenship required per contract to obtain a U.S. Department of Defense Public Trust security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Design and produce high-quality graphic content using Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite products.
  • Develop visual concepts, including standardized templates for reports, posters, and other promotional materials, from start to finish with creativity and precision while adhering to CDMRP branding and presentation standards.
  • Collaborate with other team members and with customer technical subject matter experts and leaders to transform complex information into clean, engaging visual content.
  • Provide expert recommendations and feedback on visual communication strategies to end users.
  • Format and revise subject matter for effective graphic presentation, including the selection of visual elements, layout design, and delivery formatting.
  • Design materials for internal and external communications, including documents, infographics, presentations, and web-based assets.
  • Ensure compliance with Department of War and CDMRP policies, regulations, and frameworks, and interpret and apply laws, regulations, and any other applicable guidance relevant to daily activities.
  • Independently source printing and shipping vendors and coordinate within and across multiple Leidos program teams and with the customer and vendors to review proofs and ensure timely deliverables.
  • Archive final projects in accordance with office designated standards.
